Established in 1984, SOTA a not for-profit training organization, that provides resources and affordable professional development opportunities to Ohio's public and private sector employees, trainers, supervisors, managers, designers, and HR specialists.
When SOTA was founded, we didn't host day-long events. Back then, SOTA only featured several small presentations done throughout the year, usually in a downtown office and only over the lunch period. As we grew, we moved towards all-day events and eventually to 2-day conferences. In 2015 SOTA merged with Training Partners, a group that provides public sector networking opportunities to organizations such as COTA, Franklin County, and City of Columbus as well as State employees. Today, SOTA hosts free monthly training meetings and annual training events. Registration costs are nominal for the annual events, organized by the volunteer board of directors. |
