SOTA is very excited to bring two wonderful
speakers in for our Fall 2012 event, “Plotting Your Course”. Because of the interactive nature of this program, if you have a laptop computer, please bring it with you.

This event features the creator of the action mapping concept, Cathy Moore.  Action mapping is a design process that helps you to work with your stakeholders to analyze the performance problem, commit to a measurable goal and focus on activities to alleviate the problem rather than information.

Can't make it to London for the Summer Olympics? SOTA's got you covered with our SOTA Summer Games. We're finalizing details and getting ready to open registration for Applying Gaming Techniques to Adult Learning Theory. Debra Riley from Ohio BWC will be our speaker, and you'll compete for the SOTA Gold Medal in a lighthearted game of Battle Decks.

Registration will be $25 for this half-day workshop (or free if you've attended two recent SOTA events). It's our way of saying thank you for supporting SOTA. We appreciate you.

We'll see you soon at the SOTA Summer Games.

"And something about story...We actually physically react to stories. We can't actually control our physical body. Our eyes will dilate so we can take in more of the information. You might get a chill down your spine. Your heart will race. You lean forward. You get a weird feeling in the pit of your stomach. These are all physical reactions to stories. And something happens when we, in our minds, tell ourselves, 'We're not a storyteller any more; we're a presenter.' You insert slides and everything flat lines."

Register for: Critical Thinking for Influential Storytelling

RuthMilligan
On Friday, May, 11, 2012, we are honored to present Ruth Milligan, Executive Speech Coach and co-curator of TEDx Columbus, to share her techniques for creating masterful, resonating presentations. Ruth has a full day of Critical Thinking for Influential Storytelling in store for you.

At Ruth’s request, we’ve capped registration for this SOTA event.

Ruth's storytelling workshop typically costs $375, but we are pleased to say SOTA registration will remain only $79.00. (Where else can you spend an entire day with such a captivating speaker, which includes all materials, breakfast, lunch and snacks for this affordable price?)

Don’t miss out – secure your spot at this special SOTA event.

We've opened May 11th registration to our mailing list. We'll open registration to the general public here and on the SOTA LinkedIn Group next week, but our mailing list gets first dibs.

Not on the SOTA mailing list yet? You can join it on our home page to receive future communications.

We're *very* excited about our May 11th speaker. Are you curious about who it is? Here's a hint: her name isn't TED, but x marks the spot. Can you guess who it is?
